Ahhh, I think the Kawis did very well today. All things considered. Mr. Bimmer might want to think twice about the smack talk about the Kawis. Just saying! Tongue

with a completely new bike. In it's 2nd race weekend ever.
Taken in context, 5th is pretty damn good.

Dolph's context is in comparison to his current machinery, regardless of reality...so I take his commentary with a grain of salt....so in short, I agree with you!, and it could have been a 3rd, 4th, or 5th place finish for Sykes in race 1 if he hadn't misshifted and lost the front going into that flip-flop...

So it was a missed shift that led to Sykes losing the front?

That video of Berger's Duc losing the rear wheel is wild. The commentary is right, the wheel manufacturer is going to be asked some hard questions. And he was lucky that it happened in a slower turn. Could have been much more nasty... like in a crowded pack at the end of a straight. Tongue

So it was a missed shift that led to Sykes losing the front?

Quote
...Tom Sykes: "I was delighted to qualify on the front row and prove the potential of the Kawasaki ZX-10R and had real hopes of a podium. I had a minor problem with downshifting and was disappointed to crash out in race one and then the problem re-occurred in race two and I just had to bring the bike home. But we've been strong this weekend and we will take this into Assen next time."...

Great Superpole results!! waytogo Who needs a factory Duc WSBK team after all? laughingdp

many have said the only thing not factory about the althea team is the lack of xerox sponsorship.  supposedly they are getting all the parts and full support.

We have no way of knowing how many seasons that wheel has been in service, if it's been crashed on, etc...

If it's a brand new wheel this season with no crashes...maybe.

It was marked 'For Race use Only'...you're on your own.  Grin
