Try ducati ms......  [moto]

Here is one example but local sale only and with  my favorite exhaust.   [moto]

That one looks like a winner.

cept it's priced nearly 2K more than it's worth. $7K...MAYBE.  8500 is dream dream territory for a 999.

I bought a 999R last year before winter for 9200....a 05 w/7k miles.  Bought a 749R a month later for 8250...was an 05 w/3K miles on it.

Prices right now are retarded high because people think the spring weather adds 2-3K to the value of their bike....it'll come down soon enough.  Happens every year Smiley

999SP? I've never heard of one. There's the new 1198SP but I don't think a 999 version exists. If one was ever released I was in a coma. Of course that's not uncommon. laughingdp

I pm'd the guy.  I don't think the price is too far out of line based on my observation of the market.

Also, I know prices fluctuate with the seasons. This year, though, I don't think they're going to drop as much as they have been in years past.

As long as it's worth it to YOU, thats all that matters!   waytogo [moto].  IMHO, this year is going to be twice as bad as last as far as values go.  People are still/able to buy new, and the used market will tumble again.  I'

if you're finding prices like that^, I'd love to know where. I'm looking for a 1098 or perhaps a 999 myself.

if you are searching on craigslist but want to search all of craigslist, then just go to allofcraigslist.org or allofcraigs.com

they both allow you to search craigslist nationwide.  allofcraigs has an advanced search but i found it doesn't work 100% of the time, especially with the min/max values.

He's coming out here this weekend to get the ss.

The following wednesday my wife and I are driving NWPA to SC, staying a couple days to see what we can see and then get the bike and head home saturday.

I haven't mapped it yet but I suspect we'll be far west of DC

Nice score ML!! That looks like a really nice, upgraded 999. He basically turned it into an "S" which is what I'm doing to mine. Still kicking myself for not getting the "S" on the front end. bang head Got the base model and a great deal on the full Termi/ecu package. Note to self: never get a stupid exhaust over full Ohlins and radial brakes!!!! His hp rating is spot on. Mine makes one hp less with the full Termi.

Enjoy the 999. You'll love it!

Thanks man!  Also, you're better with the base model.  The S & R bikes that have Ti rods need more love.  Ducvet tells me they need serious rebuilds every 15k or so.

I tend to ride my bikes so the S & R is out.  Base is enough bike for me so I bought pretty much exactly what I wanted.
