If the govvie shuts down tonight, then this trip is going to look grim with Shenandoah closed.

hardcore rain storm comming in. my buddy doenst feel like ridng through it. i dont balme him considering the weather reports.

I am going to sleep soon but will check in around 5am to read this thread.

any suggestions?

options../

1) Stay in DC find a cheap motel and get wasted at a local ar
2) Ride as far south as possible and find a motel there so we dont waste a day
3) Shoot for charleston SC and HIGH TAIL IT THERE, and go back to option 2 if possible.

wed basically be superslabbing down and twistying it back up..

djrashonal

I say option 2 or 3. if you get hammered in DC you'll waste the morning sobering up!
Good luck and ride safe

hmm, that's a lot of people driving the wrong way.

Are you surprised?  Things just happen when He Man is around.

He's ok, or at least was the other day (after that picture was taken).  They made it down further south and got a hotel room.  Woke up to sunny skies the next day and beat feet.

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Bad weather going down, Bad weather going up.

Today tried to make it home from Johnson City TN to NYC, 524miles. Only made it 380 miles before we had no choice to call it quits. 50 degree weather, absolutely pouring rain + fog.

Gloves have been in water for so long that they are soaked. Feet are soaked, groin and ass is swamped in body juices and freezing.

I wanted to power through it, but when i was unable to move the throttle or use the brake correctly, i gave up. Currently in Martinsburg WV.

Deals gap was INSANE. Scary to say the least. Pegs scraping.

Friend of mine had a get off on Cherohala skyway. Went down on some dirt. He was right behind me, we both went into the corner at the same time, but i bleed off more speed than he thought and he ended up on my ass, picked the bike up, ran off and then went down in some dirt.

Lets just say, that this has been such an insane road trip.
