Having mechanic look at it this weekend. He just powerwashed that shit out of it two weeks ago. Took the frame stickers right off it with ease with that thing! Yes D, all protective gear  on! :)

It's possible that some water found it's way inside a connector.  Powerwashing tends to force water into places it normally wouldn't find it's way into.  Have had this happen with cars after washing the engine bay.

I had the same headlights issue.   It was just a pinched wire,  grounding the hot before it got to the light.  Supercross easy to fix,  solder, shrink wrap and running the wire better?

Check the steering stops. They break very easy

Shit IZ, sorry to hear this.

Important thing is you're mostly fine and the bike sounds like its not too badly off.

I lost the front end and came very close to planting my face in the road today, but somehow managed to recover.  I was going pretty slow at the time and I still dont know how I lost it  :-[.

wow... I'd be seriously pissed right off if some mechanic took it upon himself to attack my bike with a freakin' high pressure washer....  IMO those things are a total no-no.

Glad you're OK.

It's not the pressure washer's fault.

Problem is they have become inexpensive and anyone can afford to own one.  Along with this everyone now thinks they know how to properly/skillfully use one.

It's not rocket science but there is a lot of finesse that comes with experience (just like any endeavor I suppose)

It's the lack of finesse that can wreck all kinds of things when 2-3000+psi comes into play.

Sorry to hear of the off Adam, but really glad it happened at a very low speed and that you're ok.

I agree that power-washing isn't really the best way to go about washing/cleaning a bike.  If you've got the thing stripped apart, and blasting individual pieces it's fine, but using those sprayers is a great way to destroy seals and get water where you don't want it.

Again, glad you're ok.
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

glad you're ok adam...
don't beat yourself up over this... it' happens  :)

Goes to show why AGATT is important. A 'buddy' at work rides a Harley and sometimes we meet in the parking lot. He used to laughed at me with my textile jacket, pants, full fingered gloves, fullface helmet, and boots. Usually he's in jeans, maybe a leather jacket (no armor), and never a helmet. "Dude, you only live 6 miles from here. Why do wear all that stuff?" I usually just shrug and smile.

The other day I saw him all rashes up and in a sling. He pulled out of the lot one day, hit some sand and lost the rear wheel. He cracked his elbow. Said he couldn't believe he broke it cause he was only going 5-10 mph.

in that case i vote for the pressure washer being the culprit...

Slide Panda

Bummer Iz. But at least it was mostly ego and not body bruising.

Good call on getting it looked over. Your funny feeling was probably nerves but you could have tweaked something. I doubt there would be damage to the rear end - probay a bent bar if anything.

Rest up take some advil and head to the docs if the neck isnt better in a couple days
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.
