I am sorry to hear this news. Another senseless killing, another life taken away shattering the lives of all those who knew the victim. We live in a violent world that saddens me beyond words.

Don't know anything about the area where it occurred, but gangs have been known to use similar tactics (targeting random people) for initiation trials.  Or, it could have been someone taking revenge for some personal grievance.

My Mom passed in 1976. She too was a realtor. She kept a .25 cal auto in her purse all the time. I can't remember the brand and I have always wondered what happened to that little auto. It wasn't in my Dad's gun safe when he passed.

Again, sorry to hear this. I too hope they find the bastard... at least for her family's sake.

I've been thinking about this all day.  I really hope for the sake of DM that the police figure this out.  I hope it is an ex or boy friend or husband instead of a random violent act.  It just doesn't fit with DM or Iowa crime.
