As much stock I put into what Barry Melrose says on ESPN, sounds like he is taking the wings. Something about home ice means nothing after losing 3 in a row and past demons SJ has in the playoffs.

All I know is it is shaping up to be a great game for us fans and the league. this is what the league has been missing since the old days of Wings/Avs, two good teams duking it out in the playoffs.

I was in the crowd years back chanting "We want Roy" after we railed him in that game 7. Awesome night. First live game for me too :D

That was my favorite game ever.  Roy and his Statue of Liberty faux pas was the bestest, most awesomest play of all time.

I'm really hoping the Wings bring that shit again tonight.

fight night at the joe was probably the most fun I ever had watching a game on TV. It was right after my birthday, so it felt the hockey gods had given me quite a gift.

from a bay area resident, who happens to love both the wings & canucks, I went from being resigned to the wings losing the series, but making myself feel better by saying, hey, i'll hopefully go see Canucks beat up on 'em, to now looking forward to -

a. a good game
b. a wing's victory
c. retribution (I am so sick of having my playoff nose rubbed in it by Shart's fans, oh, since season 3 in nhl)

Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

are the wings just mailing it in or am I being too dramatic? this looks  alot like a game 3 repeat with turn overs and lack of effort :(

The wings have sucked in the first period since 2003. Lots of hockey left. I'm shocked that it was Zberg with the turnover leading to couture's goal.

Second period was much better.  Losing Cleary and Bertuzzi hurts.

Looking forward to hearing Roenick eat his words about "gutless" Marleau!

Bye bye Detroit. What a game and series. Hate to this one come to an end.  [clap] [bow_down]
