As a wings fan I can always hope, but they're pretty banged up, so since in from the dc area  I'm gonna say the caps will go all the way  [thumbsup]

what the hell was that thing that got tossed on the ice at the Wings game?...a squid?...I saw a brief glimpse during a highlight reel between the 2nd and 3rd period of the Caps game...

That is an octopus. It is to represent the old days and how many wins a team needed to get the cup... 8. Something started here and just never left.

Now it makes sense. Sorry I got my cephalopods mixed up. The octopus wasn't wearing any gear on the ice so it looked squidly to me.  ;D

Haha, np. Its funny, our guy who is in charge of the ice "Al Sobotka", always swings them around to get the crowd going. Heres a good image of it
