Anyone know where to buy the HPE Exhaust for the 1100? I don't actually want the cans, just the header and mid pipes. The cans look pretty crappy, imo, but with those headers I could throw two shorty round pipes on their and have a SICK setup...

I've read that this system is outrageously expensive (over $2k!). I'm hoping the headers can be had for a realistic number on their own (under $1k). Motowheels said they used to carry it but no longer have it on their website.

I've been thinking about doing the same thing. A pair of termi shorties would look and sound sweet waytogo

Don't think you're gonna get what you want.  They sell the collectors seperately, but the Y-pipe is part of the slip ons.  Here is the page for reference. http://www.tubistyle.it/HPE/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=7%3Amonster-1100-impcompl-monster-1100-s-09-tipo-gp-&catid=3%3Amonster&Itemid=2&lang=en  Also, HPE makes arguably the highest quality exhaust systems.  The cans you are referring to are titanium.  Truly spectacular exhausts and they do fetch a pretty penny because of it.

Kinda stinks that their muffler system is as unattractive as it is. I'll send them an email and see how flexible they are on it. high mount over/unders will look great on the monster. I bet we see a lot of aftermarket options like this now that the EVO has low mount over/under on it.

With you on that one. That street fighter exhaust is as bad as it gets.

I really like that setup

The exhaust follows the lines of the bike and the color/finish gives that mechanical look.... The reason I liked the monster is because it looks like you are sitting on a motor and two wheels. Not a bunch of fancy plastic and carbon. I guess a cf finish might "look" cleaner, but I think this gives it a better look

HPE's quality is so nice it almost hurts.  I've had a few dozen exhausts in my hands, and it's on the same level as a fishbone exhaust (japan, Ti, welded by gods).

IMO, that exhaust looks great on the 1100, better than on the previous monster.

damn... i just looked up fishbone to see what you were talking about and i came up with this:

http://www.speedzilla.com/forums/ducati-classifieds/61183-fishbone-titanium-exhaust-999-749-box-swingarm.html

those welds are insane.

Yup waytogo  Had one of those setups on a 999 I used to own.  Quality was the best I've ever seen (including some F1 headers I bought years ago).
