Does anyone have any recommendations for comfortable seats that would fit an 07 s4r?

I believe mine is the Ducati gel seat, it is much more comfortable than the regular seat, especially for my 48 year old ass. However, when you're out riding and you stop to grab a bite somewhere, you either need to park in the shade or cover your seat or you will have a VERY uncomfortable ride home  Cry

I could be wrong but I seem to recall reading something about the Ducati Comfort seats currently being sold no longer have the gel and not having the issue with getting very hot when being left out in the sun yet still being comfortable.

The gels do help comfort. I find that I still get uncomfortable after 150 miles or so, but as soon as I'm off the bike, I'm fine, and a short stop is all I need. That's pretty much gas fillups anyway, so I just plan a good 20-30 minutes for water or a snack. Much better than the stocker.

And, they DO get hot in the sun. I've never burned anything, but you can definitely feel it. Can't speak to how it would be in the heat of AZ or Cali.

I also recall that Ducati no longer produces the gel... but I'm sure you could have your pan re-done by a custom seat shop with gel, or other foam configurations to make it more comfortable.

If you're in th So Cal area, a guy I work with re-covers seats using memory foam and leather. Pretty comfy and dirt cheap.

Up in the Seattle area it never gets too crazy hot, I'll have to look into all of the options thanks everyone.

Ducati Performace Seat. Just installed it a few days ago. Really comfortable and a little lower than stock. Only downside is its a suede material. Making it a little difficult to slide, or move, around the seat. You almost stick to it. Dont have any pics, but here is a link to one on ebay with some pics.
