Hi. I’m Troy McClure. You may remember me from such self-help tapes as “Smoke Yourself Thin” and “Get Some Confidence, Stupid!”

Saw the following on the Ducati owners club face book site today  Shocked

for NSW riders.
don’t know the exact details yet but watch out if you are heading out around mangrove mountain – wollombi way. SPREAD THE WORD – SOMEONE UP THERE DOES NOT LIKE BIKES

from a friend who works for energy australia

One of the guys at work is in hospital this morning and lucky to be alive.

Some one strung a telephone wire across Mangrove Rd and he hit it at 60kmh on his bike. It wrapped around his neck.

watch out part 2 - from a customer who lives at central mangrove

Mangrove Rd from Narara to Somersby?
there’s also been someone in a red ute running bikes off the road, happened at least twice that I know of. the first one was near Kulnura shop, not sure about the other time

Makes you wonder about some people.
I did the Mangrove Mountain , Spencer , Wisemans , Pitt Town loop on Sunday with a workmate.
Thankfully no wire strung up across the road.

More from the Ducati owners club facebook page

Was riding my bike down mangrove rd last night and when hit with telephone wire across the road. It wrapped around neck at 60km and I am now in hospital, they are saying plastic surgery to the neck is a option. I am ok but if anyone knows anyone that puts wire across the road at head height plz call the cops and stop this happening to anyone else. I thought I was done for and I am counting my blessings to be alive.

California superbike school. waytogo
Did this yesterday at SMSP  level 1 .
Although expensive I would highly recommend this course .
I was surprised how much I learnt and how much I didn't know   Shocked .
I feel way more confident on the track and at a guess have increased my speed through the corners
10-20 % delaying tip in point and holding speed through better line selection.
One of the best disciplines was staying in fourth gear with no brakes , this makes you far more aware
of entry speed and holding your line through good throttle control.
Very well organised , morning tea (they had cakes and lamingtons Rob  Grin ) lunch and drinks supplied and very long sessions on track with lots of instructors leading following and doing personal reviews of your session straight after.
