S4R

« Reply #1083 on: May 20, 2009, 04:29:50 PM »

Hi guys. Been away for a while. Sold the S4R, my dad bought it so I can still ride it whenever I llike, and bought a 1098S. S4R was great, nicer to ride than the 1098 but a bit slow for those more spirited rides and track days. The little monster used to fly past everybody under brakes and on the corners but got smoked down the straights. Don't seem to have that problem any more.

I'm about to buy some cyclecat coffin reservoir spacers from some guy in the US who's a newbie here......  if I use paypal......  is my transaction safe or am I setting myself up to be scammed?  If the seller was smoebody who I knew from on here for a while, I'd be feeling more confident.

Your thoughts please?

I've been using paypal for o/s purchases for years too. Haven't had any problems. Can't remember whether it's paypal or fleabay that has a guarantee to refund money if goods not received.  Read up on their website as some things are excluded.  Like Desmosedicis.  Undecided

Thanks for the replies....if it was a transation thru fleabay i wouldnt be worried, but just a "private" transaction with a newbie member of DMF... payment via paypal...oh well..its not 500 squillion bucks so here goes...lol...
