Well I'm shitting myself ATM!! Roll Eyes

My old 750 is running like a dream!! No, I have not done a service, carb balance, nor even a timing check!! Not even changed or even cleaned the spark plugs!!

And the Putana is running like a swiss watch, all by itself!  Huh?

No popping and farting at steady throttle in top at 60kph(Normal), no snatching at lower speeds, absolutely nothin'!!  Shocked And its been like this all this week!

The biatch is always entertaining, and you just dont know what mood she is going to be in on any given day, heh (Thats why its a SHE waytogoEvil

But the last time something ran THIS well all by itself it shit itself, so I am very, very worried! But Lovin' it!

But waiting for the axe to fall!  Dolph laughingdp bow down

Think I'll go for a ride and enjoy my contrary, slutty, cantankerous "never a dull moment" old girl!!  Dolph

Hey Big, Does your 7fiddy have an err, umm "Character" all its own??  Grin

Just happened to be passing by D'Moto last week, spotted Max/Wells lurking around (he brings them nice coffee)..........next thing i notice is a new set of mirrors on his bike . He then starts asking me for cleaning tips (obviously he hasn't watched my video on that) for his bike. I share with him a couple of lifelong secrets, only to find him adding them to his phone via voice messaging. I have a sneaky suspicion he is going to enter the 2 valve section of the Concourse btw........   waytogo
After he left, I spotted this scooter......please take note of the mirrors on it..(fess up Max) ..... Roll Eyes    Word is out that this bucket of bolts may be Robyns engagement gift.......it was bought for $200 btw Robyn, and no, i didn't leave any zeros off .........

Haha, I know those mirrors!
That's great!.. I hope they charged accordingly for them!

And no mate, no plans for concourse entry, but thanks for your tips on the grime removal!
I've managed to find a washing bay around my building, the only down side is that it's underground and there's not a HEAP of light, so cleaning there isn't IDEAL, but it's far better than trying to do a bucket wash in the back streets of the cross.  Smiley

p.s... what's this "just happened to be swinging past" nonsense!? I waited most of the day for you to rock up!

Just checking out around the ST when I came across this  Shocked

If you look just above the zip tie you can see some coloured wiring showing through.

And here is a close-up of the chaffed outer sheath, I cut two zip ties away to show better detail, I'm wondering if this happened when I had my small off, a couple of years ago or has this just worn this way through natural wear and tear.

Good onya for spotting the problem.  My little 695 had much the same prob - the starter wires were nearly cut in half.

Ducati wiring is dreadful.

Mick looks like acco related.

Yea Ducati wiring is Shite. My old M900s had a starter issue. Found the buggers had joined the starter wire before they put it in the loom right where the loom moves when you move the steering.

Got to save every foot of cable to save that 50 cents.

Why is it that with some so called "elite"  Roll Eyes  European motorcycles/vehicles you have to put up with things like cheap arse bottom of the range wheel bearings (Mine were gone at 30k ish,  Shocked ) and in particular electrics!! Both in their functional reliability and the way they are set up/routed. Angry

The well known crappy Ducati wiring, and my mates Tuono that last year had a strange electrickall fault that stopped him twice and kept the bike off the road and in the dealers workshop for around 3 months in total last year!! (Local Dealer didnt have a clue which didnt help either!  Angry )

From what I've heard Alfas have a nasty reliability reputation also!!
