Anyone know what other years and models of bikes the footpegs are interchangeable with the 2001 M900ie? I keep finding conflicting years through Internet searches.

What I'm looking for are some rubber footpegs like those that I think were on some of the early M620 bikes or similar to the ones on the Hypermotard. My wife's foot (paralyzed) keeps sliding on the footpeg and interfering with the shifter (electric) on her bike.

Thanks.

Pretty much all the rubber coated Monster pegs will work on your 01..  Also Ducati Designs have some interesting solutions..

Thanks, Dave.

I had read a few places where the '93-'01 pegs were the same and the '02+ were different, but then I also read where all Monster pegs were interchangable. The only rubber pegs I had run across had been '02 and newer, so I wasn't sure.

Those types of billet pegs work on some bikes and don't on others for their riding position. On her '94 GSXR, I had to mount rubber "feet" upside-down (from some equipment at work) on them because her foot kept sliding, but that style seems to work fine for her '00 R1. I wish the ST2 pegs would work on the M900 because I have 3 spare sets of them (same as the Paso). I had considered trying to get them machined to work on the Monster, which is still a possibility.

99 M900 city I think was the first with rubber coated pegs..  You might also try drilling shallow little holes on the ball end of the peg creating little burrs which help with traction..  a few cross cuts across the pegs also helps.  basically creating a more grippy surface..

A peg of any DSS monster should fit. Passenger and rider are the same - the riders just has a spring to hold it down and the passenger has a ball bearing on spring detent to hold them up/down - but the peg is the same. I had to swap a friends passenger peg in after she dropped her bike.

Oberon also makes 3 flavor of replacement pegs for monsters.
