I took a long loop ride out to Vernonia and back today.  I'm heading up to Cougar or thereabouts tomorrow with some other RE riders.  I was thinking of you when I stopped at the Moto Guzzi dealer, they had a Savage and an S-40 for sale.

Oh, I also saw the CBR 250 in the flesh for the first time today.  It's a nice little bike and fit me just fine, a little forward lean when you sit on it.  The springs are way too soft for anyone over 120# but overall it's really well done.  Then again, it is a Honda.

Well, I got the tank & seat fitted. I put on the shocks, rear set mounts, & rear sets.

Now to take the rest of the stuff that needs painting in to get painted.

Vik - How much does a powder coating on a frame run? Got some project ideas going through my head.

It's painted, not powder coated.

But I did get some other parts powder coated at brookerenterprises.com.

The price was very reasonable and they did a good job.

My lovely wife picked me up a 1969 Honda CB175 as an anniversary present. Sure, it's a project bike, but eventually I hope to race it in the vintage class.

Wow, rolling chassis already!  I like how little they have hung on the top triple and how the engine cants forward a little.  I think it's straight up and down on the stock bike.  The forward lean makes it look fast!

Finshed the zx600r... and ended up with a great offer on it at the track the first time I rode it... lol... say good bye already...

Then I picked up this as my next project......

Not quite sure which seat / fairing / tank  that I am going with... but open to suggestions... love the look of the Ryca kit... but nobody has full on CB175 kits...lol

Really like the concept of this.  Just wish they had other options on the tank.  Instead of just modding the stocker they should offer other options.  I like the shapes of the benji cafe racere bikes.

I bet if you talked to them they'd work with you.  No reason you couldn't adapt another tank.  I think their project is partly based on re-using as much of the original bike as possible.

Custom dustbin.

Or a jelly mould cafe bike.
