it's pretty cheap to powder coat them just make sure you find a reputable shop that's done bike and automotive stuff

Is it just me or did you change the shifter setup? Is this a way of reversing the shift pattern?

Correct, I run GP shift on my monster. Pictured is how you achieve that, to run regular shift pattern just invert the linkage.

If you like GP shift i would recommend you go with the actual shifter isntead of just flipping it because you get a more crisp and clean response.
if you dont like it just swap it back. its a good way to test.
i love GP shift and have been running it for about 3 years now.

saw that and immediately thought the same thing...thought about ordering the gp shifter but i like this better...more concerned about what happens when I get used to this than throw a leg over the dirtbike or something

off topic but I love my reservse (gp) shift too...I went with the "flipping the linkage" way
how do I pick which lenght to go with when I order the gp shifter? bike is M750 with aftermarket rearset.

Buy the offset one AFAIK, only SSR makes one right now. the ones with various lengths are designed for superbikes with different rearsets.

I was looking at SSR, they have two variations: a "shorty" one and a regular length one with a bend...
I guess when you said offset is the one with the bend? Cuz the shorty is just straight.

yes bend/offset, the point is that it moves it away from the inside so u dont have to pigeon toe.
the downfall is that if u go down the thing is buggered. SSR isnt exactly high quality. Their aluminum sucks.

I contacted SSR and got the measurements...shorty is 108mm and long is 133mm

My rearset was designed to stick out a bit longer than normal and it was also designed to act as a slider protection so I think the foot peg will hit frist before the shifter take a hit...
anyways, thanks for you help He-man.
