Hey everyone. I live in Houston, Texas and was visiting a friend in Austin. Stopped by the Ducati dealership to check out the bikes and ended up walking out having purchased a 2001 Monster 750 someone had put on consignment 2 days earlier. This is my first bike and I couldn't be more excited. It is still at the dealership as I wanted to go ahead and get the 12k maintenance done, but I should be going back to pick it up in the next week or so. Forgive my lack of knowledge, but I liked it because of the unique styling to it. It has the Termignoni exhaust, some mad max style can lights, and what the dealer told me was a special edition Ducati tank from the 2007 or 2008 catalog (anyone have any idea?). Anyways, I have lots to learn, so feel free to throw any knowledge my way if you see me around on the boards, or if you happen to run across me on the road!

This is the only pic I have for now, but will post some more when I go back to pick it up.

Welcome - you might post that photo in a a new thread in the Accessories and Mods section. It'll get more eyes on it, and someone might be able to help you with some details on the tank.

That is some pretty mad max shit up front. I've seen a few set ups, but that's a new one.

Beyond the acc and mods. You might pop in on your local section and say hey.

And then, since you're a new rider you might pop in on the riding techniques too. It'll be fun to learn but we've all got a lot to learn when it comes to riding. Life long learning...
