I am cringing just looking at that...I hope it is a break-away prosthetic leg...(that replaced the one he lost doing that same stunt in the past)

Super-moto boots vs street bike boots:

Super-moto has hard plastic for sliding... regular has soft rubber for grip.

Kinda like I said above... except not metal Tongue

Rider in my first vid is in street boots. The one that rides my Duke wears Sidi boots as well.  Wink

Why do you put the foot out anyway?

kinda 2 reasons...1) being that when you are seated in a neutral position during a leaned over drift turn, trying to keep your foot on the peg is kind of an unnatural position and with the lean angles, doing knee down could get in the way...2) it is easier to step off the machine if you go so far as to lose the rear beyond control and get out of the way....

Ah ok thanks. I've just never ridden like that.
I've never ridden on a bike in a leaned over drift turn but that makes sense for sure.

Yeah but the guy's not on a supermoto, he's on what looks like a heavy naked streetbike. He's crossed up and covering the front brake in a corner. Looks like 3 kinds of wrong to me. He'd better hope his foot never glances the road while he's doing that nonsense or he's coming off that bike, yup.

He is on a Duke, same bike I have, same bike I cover/slide a Sidi boot on the pavement with.

<edit> I meant the guy in my first vid.
