Ok, cable arrived while I was at work, so I borrowed a lappy for the experiment.

The USB to serial cable installed after 1 false start with the drivers.. the documentation wasn't right.  But I got it installed.

Hooked up the bike to the compy and powered everything up.  Power Commander software 2.7.8 ran just like it should through the converter.  Once the software was actually communicating with the Power Commander unit - an option did appear to let one adjust the throttle 0 and 100 points.

But, I didn't need to.  The software was displaying 0 when it throttle was closed and 100% at WFO.  I went though the set procedure anyways... but it stayed the same.  The LEDs still only read up to the 7th.. but the compy displayed the proper values.

Awesome! At least you know you're getting full range of use when the system is in run mode. It IS normal for the bars NOT to reach the top so don't worry about that part. At least the throttle positions are set up correctly!  waytogo

I'm not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example!
