"Listen, not a year goes by, not a year, that I don't hear about some escalator accident involving some bastard kid which could have easily been avoided had some parent - I don't care which one - but some parent conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator."

Ya' know, I don't consider those dumb moments; they are more like whoops moments.

I agree. Those are just whoops. We're talking dumb here not whoops. ;D It's OK to be pissed or feel stupid over a whoops. Dumb can get you hurt or total a bike. [bang]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

I was actually on mine when I dropped it and bruised the hell out of my hip.  The parking lot exit here is on a good slope and there's a rail bridge to the left that people like to speed over and it's kinda hard to see them, which is why I always check left at least two or three times.  This time, there was somebody coming over the rise just as I turned my head to pull out/  I had my right foot on the peg and put it down too close to the bike and dropped it on myself...

The dumbest thing I've ever done with my bike............Not ride it
Everytime I'm on two wheels, the streets part, heavens open, and hearts pound

The heart pounding is true, at least...
