That's impressive considering 4 gallons of gas is 24 lbs, and 4 quarts of oil is about 8 lbs. You gotta forgive us if we're skeptical of a 285 lb dry weight (including the battery). That's lighter than both the NCR bikes, and the Pierobon F042. Very impressive if true. Post some pictures!!

The streetfighter is very cool.  waytogo

ill talk to AJ (the guy that built it) on tuesday and see what the exact numbers are. its offsite right now so no pics, its not much to look at anyway. its never been painted and its bin down once or twice.

thats no streetfighter though, thats a trackfighter cheeky

add the forks and tires and tank and see what it weights.. oh, and put the crankshaft and rods back in the engine too   Evil

LMAO...nothin but a multi motor in a "916 frame"....oops, forgot to mention it's made from Titanium, along with the exhaust Cheesy

The "trackfighter" is awesome!

I would love to see exactly how a bike like that weighs 300 pounds.  My 1000SS track bike with no street equipment at all, Yoyodine fairing stay, Ducati Kaemna 1/4 fairing, ETI-Fuelcel Sprint carbon-kevlar tank, BST carbon fiber wheels, Sharkskinz 916 race tail, Speed Cell battery,  and DucPond single silencer undertail custom race exhaust with DucPond lightened rear rotor, Woodcraft CFM rearsets and clip-ons, weighs 347 pounds on a certified scale on board.  The only places left for me to save weight are with the 916 mono aluminum subframe I have for it, and internal engine lightening mods.  That may total 17 additional pounds of savings, to get it down to 330 pounds. Maybe.


I think part of the key detail is the weight of a frame to begin with, and some of these exotic Ti frames are where they start to get more of that off Tim....but I am speculating of course...granted, the O.P. bike isn't one of those frames, but the Pierobon ones are and the Ti-Fighter is...

I don't know..I also don't know how much any of these frames weight by themselves in comparison...

talked to the man behind the bike and it is a 748 frame with a built multi DS1000 engine. it weighs 325lbs wet. apologies for my make the beast with two backsed up memory.

I think if you really wanted to get under 300 wet, you'd have to go with a Ti frame and one of the new Evo 1100 motors with the new lightweight castings, tons of Magnesium and CF.

would love to see what a no holds build could do with that kind of material.

Still impressive. My race prepped 748 with OZ wheels is 400 wet. Dropping another 75 would be tough...but would make me very happy! Evil

As I recall the ARC frames were about 6 pounds vs 30ish?  Ti swinger would help too along with every fastener on the bike.

Light weight is expensive.
