I really like it, but I would also lose the Grim Reaper and do something that picks up on the unique Italian motor.

Like motor mounts that don't look like an after thought? Its like some one fabbed a cool frame and then they had to decide what kind of motor they could wedge into it. well that Sportster 1200 didn't fit, but I know a guy who just wrecked a 900SS. The more I look at this bike the more it looks like using a Ducati 900 was not part of the original concept. Is that the case here? sac

The frame is a kraft tech. Originally made for a Harley type v twin. This bike is being built for a customer that wanted a ducati engine in a old school bobber type frame. The customer didn't want to pay for a one off frame. So we needed to make a mounting system that would hold the engine and give some rigidity back to the frame. There are not many options on how to mount this engine. We needed to make the mount removable so if the engine needed to be removed for any reason it could be easily done. Its easy to say the mounts look like an afterthought but when you explore your options there are not many solutions that are safe and strong enough. Also the reaper design was at the customers request.(not my choice) You can check the oil level very easy the sight glass is in plain sight when you get at eye level.

Its an answer to a question nobody asked.
The reason for the underslung frame (on most older bikes) was that the frame needed to hold the engine from below. On Ducatis, the engine IS part of the frame. So doing a Harley wannabe bobber with a Duc engine looks like crapola IMHO.

So, it's an out of the catalog Paughco with a standard Sportster peanut tank, 21" front wheel with Avon Speedmasters on it, repop springer front end and PM-look (Brembo) cantilevered brakes? Yep, recipe for an HD bobber. "I want to be a rebel" the customer says. "I want to be different and put a Ducati engine in a bobber". And winds up looking just like everyone else. Needs tassels and an FTW clutch cover.
