My wife's friend made a small documentary on the Wounded warrior project. One thing really got to me and stuck in my heart was there was a young veteran who has a dog that is there to wake him up out of his nightmares. The dog is trained to wake him up and put his paws on the guys chest comforting him throughout the night. I think more people need to hear stories like this to see what these young soldiers have been through. It is really make the beast with two backsed up.  It is also amazing how smart these dogs are and what they are capable of trained by the right hands.

I just watched that again - that makes me smile every time. Wow.

Is that really you and your dog? If it is, thanks for what you do.  [thumbsup]

No that's not me.

I never felt the need to serve until I was too old and wrapped up in other things to do it

That "thanks for what you do" then goes out to all of our friends and loved ones serving and especially those who find themselves in harms way on a daily basis.
