Welly well well well, I was on the same side of the planet ZG night for once!
Good seeing all you all.

Welcome back DTM! glad to see you escaped Asia. I'm still waiting for the slide show.

Good turn-out!  The far side of the table was too crowded for me to get over there initially, and after I'd been planted for a while, I was too lazy to get up.  Sounds like I need to plan another chill ride.   [moto]

Looking forward to next month.   waytogo

Good to see y'all!

Good to meet you DTM, how was the after party at the bear bar?  Or did you & Tigre hit up AsiaSF instead? Evil

Did I miss Spidey, or did he no-show after his promise to buy us all beer?

I no-showed.  Strep's doing its imitation of Sherman's march to the sea in our household.

Did I hear somewhere that you fell down a wee bit?

Ugh, to the antibiotics man, and quickly!!

I bought a bigger bike in Sunday!  And on Sunday that new bigger bike did indeed go down in a shower of sparks on the Bay Bridge.  But it was MISTER AJ driving.  Remember how I really wanted ABS?  And how Mr. AJ thought that was unnecessary?  Well guess who locked the rear & highsided...

Ouch.  That's why I don't use the rear.  I much prefer to crash on the front brake (having done so more than a coupla times).

He ok?  More important, how's the bike?   Grin

Yeah, he normally doesn't use the rear brake either.  He doesn't know why he stomped on it this time.  There was traffic, everyone hit the brakes, he did too.  Sadness.  He's totally fine except for a shattered right hand & arm, which is of course his dominant hand.  Surgery for plates & screws & pins soon.  The bike was pristine and now has more damage than its worth, but I'll just repair the crucial bits - radiator, turn signal, clutch lever, handlebar, grips, rearset, etc...

Fack.  That's not awesome.  Not at all.

What kind of bike?  Something eBay-friendly, I hope.  Give a holler if you need help piecing it together.  We can do a "rebuild AJ's bike" tech day.

We've decided collectively that AJ needs to have the mister buy her bike and then she can use the funds to get an Italian one.

And we're gonna do a mellow ride with her 250 in the meanwhile.  AJ give me some dates that work for you starting with June 11 and I'll post up.

Yeah, his arm really sucks Sad

Funny you ask what type of bike...I was willing to suck it up & go to the dealer to get a 696 with ABS, but Mr. AJ convinced me that I would drop/crash it and I should get a more crashable bike first.  So I picked up a 2006 SV650 in great shape. And, to the derision of Mr. AJ, put frame sliders on it first thing.  Maybe I should stop listening to him when it comes to motos (his M900 still has a mystery electrical problem).

You guys are awesome, i'll definitely holler if I need a hand with repairs, and i'll ping you Belle about a ride.  Note, I don't drive like a jack ass (ahem, i leave that Mr. AJ), so you don't have to worry about me crashing into you, just me being slow.  Smiley

Mr. AJ was saying all the right things IMO, so I hope you don't feel like he steered you down the wrong path.  Sorry to hear about the crash.  I hope he's not in too much pain.
