+1 on the ride the shit out of it.  as you see more monsters you'll get a better idea of how you want to mod it . . . take your time.  i've been riding ducs for 10 years now (riding for 20) and i still can't help but tweak stuff every freakin week.

Nice bike! 1st I would get a vented clutch cover. I just bought a really nice one from a guy in Hong Kong and it was 1/2 the price of the ones at my local dealer. Then I would replace the mirrors with bar end mirrors, then chop the tail.

Those are just my top 3 recs! Have fun. And feel free to e-mail me if you're interested in that clutch cover:

Looks to me like the bike is either a 750/800 or a 600/620 with oil cooler mod and has a wet clutch.  The wet clutch alone would make the suggestion of a vented clutch cover a very bad idea.

What I would do is the following...

Send me your address so I can send you a Ducati care package!

Here's my contribution to your Monster project.

I'll get this in the mail tomorrow.  A set of nice small turn signals.  These were located on the front of my S2R800.

Additionally, if I the garage that parted my M695 still has the right rearset, i will ship those out to you as well.  Will help with your black theme without having to spend the $$ on PC.  They're in pretty mind condition.

Good luck with the rest of your Duc project.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

As in, picked up and thrown in the back of a truck? I'm a puny little 130lb 5'10" guy and I can even pick the back end up and swing it around.

I've been wanting to take my reflectors off. It looks like ther glued on. Is that right?

Whats the best way to get them off and clean it up?

Tdubb,
Heat  up the reflector with a blow dryer a bit and then twist that bad boy right off.
There will be some glue residue left behind and it can be removed with WD40 and a Terry cloth. Your bike will go approx. 10% faster after.

no, another board member (HeMan) had that happen to him--he parked it and someone dumped a ton of chinatown garbage on it....  I am just curious if it's a curse on him or on all Monsters.
