I'm not usually doing so, but tonight I'll say a prayer for him.

Sad - very sad.

(my almost last hope was gone looking at the picture. Not many riders that tall AND everything else checking out)

I was thrown off with the job listing and him talking of his own business.

Unfortunately the more I read of his posts, the more I believe it is him.   :'(

The article and his posts have too many similarities.

Article: He had crashed his 2010 BMW sport bike
Article: Randolph Virden continued to ride even with pain in his joints from osteoarthritis.
Article: He was single and had no children.
Article: He was a 61-year-old guy riding a motorcycle that can go 160 mph.

Even though I'm single,

May be it's the Osteoarthritis , some unhealed Ribs, and soon to be 61 years old ?

And the Dainese review jbubble referred to is written in his tell-tale style:

He hasn't logged in since a week before that accident, which is a little odd given how much he posted

Oh damn!!  Noticed he wasn't on here for awhile too.   Embarrassed

Anyone want to try to reach out to the brother in the article so we can get confirmation and if it is indeed our Dolph, we could send a note to his brother/family, a donation to a charitable cause of his......

Sad news. He was a rock solid person with a good sense of humor.

I recall years back someone once asking where the good roads were in Ohio...Dolph gave the guy some good guidance

I of course posted afterwards that the best roads in Ohio were the ones that had signs saying you are now leaving Ohio

He and I shared a good laugh at that snarky remark....

Travel well good soul!

I can confirm it's our DE. He gave me his address once, J. Virden.  Rest in peace brother.

He just confirmed it against an address I came up with for Randolph Virden in Lancaster, Ohio. It's the same.

Just ruined my day. I was hoping it couldn't be confirmed or was just plain wrong and a freaky coincidence. Thoughts and prayers for his brother and all his friends and family. I can only imagine the sleepless night his brother had wondering and worrying. Seems I remember a bike video he posted a while back of him riding one of his favorite roads. That's what I'd like to remember. waytogo [moto] God speed.

His brother said it best, at least he died doing something he loved doing the most. He's right, not eveyone does that. waytogo [moto] Vino!
