Problem with brakes or normal?

Yeah, it is possible the diaphragm  (black plunger like thingy) extended itself.  The weep holes allow venting and are separated from the diaphragm, allowing the diaphragm to drop down as the fluid level drops, preventing moisture laden air from contacting the brake fluid.  No fluid should come out of the holes.

The brakes felt fine after doing a road test. Thanks for all the help, it is actually pretty easy to bleed and flush the brakes - although I really really wish Ducati gave the 696 the clear plastic reservoirs for the clutch and front brakes. The metal screw-down lids are a horrible outdated design IMHO.
