Got rid of the pod filters today and installed the stock air box with a little mod to increase flow.  Also tossed out my heavy ass battery and installed the Shorai.  Luv it!.  Bike sounds bit quieter with stock air box but for some reason i definitely feel like the bike responds better when I get on the throttle.

Now for that swingarm...

what's wrong with my swingarm?

Correct front galfer wave rotors should arrive Monday.  New carbon fiber race stripe kit has arrived for the tank and seat cowl I'm having painted Rosso Red.  Gold rizoma reservoirs, CRG levers and preload adjusters have been painted semi-gloss black.

Can pretty much call this project complete.  Now to find myself a 749 or 999 to begin tinkering with.....

Right!

Dare I ask this question aloud, but what else is there to do?  i have two tanks (custom colored), aftermarket levers, forks, triples, brake calipers, master cylinders, brake lines, rotors, a seat, rims, tail light, slave cylinder belt covers, frame sliders, flywheel, reservoirs and carbon fiber bit here and there.  Anything else would just be throwing money down the tank.... laughingdp

If I was going to go that route, would I just need to buy another engine to drop in there instead of all that work to get very little ROI?

Well an 1100 would be better but an 800 is close enough to a 900 as a base to build from

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Duc750...you are horrible but thanks for the links.  I almost bought that S2R1000 engine in MD but I don't trust the seller.  He sold the forks to my crashed S2R800 didn't note int he sale that there were bent or tweaked to some degree....So I wonder what shape that 1000 engine is in.

Now the Multi 1000 - what would it take to drop that Multi engine into my S2R?  popcorn

Ha, sorry!

I figured since we have the same bike and all I've done to mine is a mid pipe I'd try to live vicariously through you!

Live on my friend.  Also if you need any spare parts or what not let me know.....Got lotsa stuff lying around here
  - Original reservoirs
  - Rizoma aftermarket reservoirs ones (size medium)
  - Excellent condition EBC rotors (bolt right up to your current 5 spokes)
  - Sprockets
etc....

That engine does look mighty tasty, however, if I drop a $1 buying the engine and most likely another $1K to have it dropped it my bike and then tuned correctly and buy the right exhaust, maybe I should just buy another Duc??
