Thanks JV.  Hopefully it will all work, otherwise...

The only one I know to be trouble is the front wheel... On the 848/Hyper (and 1098, 1198, SF for that matter) the spacers, rotors and rest won't carry over because of the different hub configuration. 5-bolt/15mm-offset vs 6-bolt/10mm-offset.

The rear will work fine. They probably look like SBK 6 inch wide wheels to most people, and (besides having a larger axle diameter and not fitting) those will hit the Monster tubular swingarm. That is, if you find 6 inch wide wheels that fit the smaller axle (like aftermarket Marchesinis for 996, etc).

for front wheels, you need 6 bolt, if you want to reuse your current rotors

Thanks for the info re: the rear wheel folks.

The front is a completely different matter all together.  I'm in the midst of an SBK upgrade.  So the front end will have 999 forks with the matching 10 spoke wheel.  Upper triple has been replaced with a 53mm one from Speedymoto and the lower triple will be shimmed using beer cans to take up the extra 1mm slack that exists due to stock monster forks being 54mm at the bottom.

Hopefully everything will be done by Tuesday so I can post pics of the work in progress.

For the price of the SpeedyMoto top triple, you could nearly have a set (upper and lower) from IMA - with correct 53/53 bore.

I've heard good things about IMA.  If I had planned this correctly I would have done it over over the winter but the stock forks are abysmal and having come from a bike with nice GP suspension setup i figure why not get it done before my big ride in October.

Trust me I miss that bike as well.  I've never felt more part of a bike than with that one.  The yellow S2R took a turn for the worse when I was hit by a BMW (July).  I didn't post about it.  Wasn't really a fun time, bike had a lot of front end and right side damage.  The forks were bent pretty badly, triples were destroyed and the frame was cracked by the stem housing.  The right rear set was mangled but the frame sliders saved the engine tank and other parts, however, at the end of the day would have cost too much to restore.  I some how walked away from it unscathed.  No rash, broken bones or anything despite the impact and being tossed about 60 feet in the air.  The insurance company was pretty good about things, everything has been settled and I was able to conduct a bike transplant (rear shock, masters and other bits and pieces) before they hauled it away.

Working on another masterpiece hopefully.  This is a matte black canvas so a lot of the parts that I pulled off the yellow bike work well with the new bike.

The 695 was tipped over by a careless driver while parked so I parted that just because I really wanted a SSS.

They are fantastic - I've got them on three bikes currently and will put them on the 4th when funds and time allow. The lower is extra beefy which is very nice.

If you have already ordered the SM top, you can add just the IMA lower, but a full set is incredibly reasonably priced, so you might dispense with the SM upper for financial reasons.

I am working on being a US affiliate for IMA to help answer questions in English, etc

Here are the tasty goodies I have for my Monster mods currently on deck.  Love the look and feel of the gilles tools rearsets.  They feel 10x sturdier than the 4Racing rearsets I had on the yellow and black Monster.
