Has anyone explored organizing a meetup group for Duck riders?  it's an awfully useful site and I feel as if we would have more traction in setting up rides amongst members due to the utility of the site.  I'm currently a member of NYC Sportbike Riders and Passaic County Sport Bikes - Leaning in the Twisties.  Thoughts?  All in favor?   Dolphwww.meetup.com

Just joined up. Great idea to have an easy place to get rides together. I unfortunately can't make the inaugural meetup ride this weekend but looking forward to meeting some of you this summer.  waytogo

Saw your route...some suggestions:

You want to ride all of CR-106...it's that great, instead of heading north on Seven Lakes Drive
You could also add in Bear Mountain Road and Perkins Memorial
218 is work going back and forth on instead of looping with 9W
In that area, you can also try Arden Road (which was in bad shape 2 years ago...no idea if they repaved it recently)

Overall, very good routing...have fun!

CDawg - i'm thinking we should shoot out to the Delaware Water Gap as it is a little less traditional.  We're mapping out the route now but you seem to know your roads.  Any input?  Thanks  Dolph

Here's the plan. 8:30 AM we meet at Brooklyn Motor Works (bike shop in Red Hook... http://www.brooklynmotorworks.com/BMW/Brooklyn_Motor_Works.html). This will be the roundtrip destination for us where we shall BBQ upon returning. Once we're all assembled, we'll head on out to the Delaware Water Gap and do something a little more interesting than the typical shot up 9W North to Bear Mountain. I'll post the exact route details on the discussion board shortly.

Let's see...it's going to be a bit hazy since most of my road file is on my home computer:

There's some great roads thru Deleware Water Gap...maybe it's 23, I cannot be sure.
However, given your end point, you may want to add another 15-20 miles and take down Hawk's Nest on Route 97 NE of Port Jarvis
There are some scenic road off Route 97 like Route 55 and others
I'm not familiar with the Route 22 that you picked since I usually take a higher latitude route to hit Sparta NJ.
In Sparta, my favs includes: CR-620, Edison Road, and Clinton Road.  If you take down Clinton Road from N-S, be deadly aware of the left-hander towards the end.  It is a hard 10mph turn or you will eat concrete, asphalt, and grass...and not the good kind.
