you are getting to the point where you are asking questions that have very simple answers, which is simply, why not?

Maybe keep a look out on ebay for a used Ducati M696 left handlebar switch assembly - the M696 has its choke/fast idle lever integrated with the switch assembly.

is that a Frankenstein 900?

cause i swear there was 2 rotors on all the monsters except the 750 and 620 at some point.

If your talking about the brake calliper and rotor at the front ...I think that the guy WHO sold it to the dealer took it out..... boo  he probably needed the money to put it on the road ... laughingdp   Immatriculation cost is very high in Quebec Grin it goes up to 1400$ a years + insurance cost.... boo  bang head

I've notice when that the rear brake rotor is beyond spec use ( I use my micrometer)
So the guy probably used more of the rear than the front Roll Eyes and he add probably has the biggest "chiken strip" that I've ever seen. I used a hole inch further on each side of the tire laughingdp

I didn't notice it till I got home and saw some photo's of the 900......
So I have to get a new caliper and a front rotor  + cable!! bang head

What a lemon !!! but it's a beautiful lemon ..lol Grin

So total coast that I wasn't supposed to put on the bike :   ( yes, I work in a bank  I always keep track of thing's )

- Ignition module  bang head ...fond it on eBay 160$  waytogo
- battery ...  because I'm a girl and when someting doesn't work we buy another battery...lol Grin  cheeky  115$
- K & N crankcase vent filter 30$
- new signals light 50$
-Used starter motor 150$ + 4.8 hours at the dealer  400$ + 350$ of transport for the bike
( It was on warranty so I didn't have to pay it... applause  bow down )
+ now brake caliper + cables+ rotor  maybe around 700$

So total cost = 1955$ ....wow !!!  bang head  I would've buy some high class higheels, get my nail's done + a handbag  whit all that money   ....lol    Grin

the wheel and fork has to accept the new rotor as well.  That is if he didnt crash the front end of the bike, and swapped the wheel forks and calipers from a lesser monster.

Just to say though, if you are going to buy parts for this bike you might as well upgrade, otherwise you are really cheating yourself out because it seems like you could of bought a no issue bike for much cheaper. than scattering of parts.

....I dont realy like the big speedometer ....
A speedo calibrated in MPH too  Huh?.... And since Canada uses sensible units of measurement I'm guessing this bike originated south of the border?

That's what I've guess to... probably from the south....but it was a long time ago because the ancient owner was in Quebec.
