Like him or not Nicky is a good stand up kid who always takes responsibility for his performance and actions. He is not one to be throwing stones at. I'm not sure of the exact on track action Stoner is referring to but IF Nicky was at fault I'm sure he would be the first to man up and say he was wrong and apologize. Who on the grid doesn't like Hayden? Stoner should be careful, I know Vale likes Nicky a lot and he might just give Stoner a smack down for pissing and moaning about his new teammate. laughingdp Is it just me or does Stoner ever stop pissing and moaning? Track skills aside he's a whiner!

By the way, you could do a lot worse than having Nicky as a son in law! waytogo applause popcorn
Now as many of you know in Moto GP the only reason that any team mate like each other is that they are not a threat, not taking anything away from Nicky I think he is a great bloke.
That thing about Vale smacking stoner, please Roll Eyes
Anyone hear what the outcome was with Ben Spies apparently he was in the medical rooms with back pain after his crash

Yes he is.  I'm very happy he got a podium finish.  He deserves it!

Exactly!  Otherwise it would have been the same old thing.

And that's why I think they should use old touring tires for the races.  Worn out, old, hard as a rock and questionable tires.  That would make the race so much more interesting.

During the race I was mentioning how Loren-dope would not handle catching up to Stoner well.  Seconds later he throws the bike down.

The problem is now:  which d-bag do you want to see win, Loren-dope or whiny Stoner?

Vale smacking Stoner was a joke. Grin But I do remember at the final 2006 race when Hayden won the Championship Rossi said that if he had to loose the Championship to anyone that year he hoped it was Hayden. And he seemed genuinely sincere and happy for Hayden. And has since said many nice, sportsman-like comments about Hayden. Long before they were current teammates.

No, I have not heard or read anything about Spies. Hope he's OK... obviously. waytogo

The third faller in the MotoGP class was Ben Spies, the Texan crashing unseen by the TV cameras. He fell heavily, sliding into the wall and hitting it with his back, his back protector destroyed in the crash, but allowing Spies to come away bruised, sore, but largely unhurt. The quality of protective gear is pretty impressive at the moment, though there is always room for improvement.

Didn't we already have the opinion that they should turn on the sprinklers for every race? Maybe through in a cobra or 2.

Stoner - crazy fast
Factory Yama's - WTF? Those guys need lessons on how to ride in the wet.
Ducati - Nicky has always been a cautious rider. His riding style is suited for the wet. Rossi can back from the last row to get a 6th. If he would have put in a better effort in QP, he would have probably battled for at least 4th.
Edwards -  Shocked  bow down That guy is beyond words.

With all that Vale gives to MotoGP sometimes I doubt if it could ever make the beast with two backsing come close to Colin Edwards contribution! laughingdp He is one talented, tough son of a pregnant dog and he is one funny mother make the beast with two backser! Who else on God's green Earth could ever get away with saying that shit? laughingdp
OK, he seems like he's two or three beers into it but hell, that's who he is! No shit, I had to watch that twice! applause And probably will several more times. How great for a group of fans at a race to catch that act? He puts Jay Leno to shame! cheeky Racing will certainly suffer in the great character department when he hangs it up! Looks like I need a Dad's Day gift trip to his bike camp in the TX hill country!! waytogo Dolph chug Dirt bikes, guns, go karts, drinks and Colin Edwards... what could possibly go wrong? laughingdp

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the idea for the sprinklers was for F1, not MotoGP.  The rain shakes things up a bit, but in the end the racing is still crap because half the field chucks their bikes in the gravel.  The grid numbers are embarrassing as it stands, so losing more bikes just makes it look pathetic.
