just saw it and was suprised how adult some of the themes were for a disney/pixar flick

???  ALL of the Pixar films have had some subtle innuendos!  Some not as subtle.  Are they becoming more open?

Going to go at some point this week.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Saw it! Great movie.  [thumbsup] Pixar has an amazing ability of bringing personality into their characters. And their animated shorts before the main feature are just plain clever and brilliant.  [thumbsup]

Made a double-feature out of it with Hancock.  [evil]

I didn't think this one had innuendos, but was out right anti-walmart (large global corporations ruling the earth), and the portrayal of humans as dependent on technology to the point that ALL were morbidly obese. It was like a 'what if we keep going down the same path of excess we are on now" hypothetical.

I understand that kids don't pick up on it, but there's a lot of underlying messages / themes going on.

I enjoyed the movie.

Saw it and it rocked!

Saw it last night.  Great movie!  Its amazing they can convey the range and depth of emotion using only facial expressions and bodu positioning.  Especially when the face is little more than a pair of binoculars and the body is just a box with arms and tank treads. [laugh]

Outstanding! [thumbsup] [clap]

Le Pirate

Excellent movie!!!

I made sure I went to see it at a theater with a digital projector. The graphics were AMAZING! There was a shot or 2 that I couldn't believe was CG.

I liked the fact that there were some good stretches (especially at the beginning) where there was no talking in the film...I had heard some complaints about that, but I think the expressions of Wall-E more than made up for the lack of dialogue.

Plus, I really liked Pixar's little jab at our massive consumerism. I thought it was great. Plus, whats funnier than a space ship full of fat people? Nothing.  [laugh]

[thumbsup]

Agreed, it was excellent.  But don't think Disney/Pixar is really all that against our massive consumerism.  Just wait, come the fall all the cool kids will be sporting the Wall*E lunch box
