Yes, it is very cool.

It would be awesome to do something like that here, but unlike France, our traffic laws are state-by-state so you'd never get the turnout unless bikers are willing to cross state lines to do it -- which would be highlighted by people opposed to changing the laws.

Certainly 100,000 bikers showing up in a state capital would get attention.  The only place you could do that would be California though and they already have non-criminal lane filtering!
