Hi, I'm new here and have decided to switch to Ducati (finally).
I'm about to order a M1100 Evo and I really can't decide on the exhaust system. I've search all over the forums here and on other forums as well and on Google but I can't find any good answers.
Basically this is what I am choosing from:
Termins
: The problem I have with those are that they cover up the wheel too much. I have yet to find out what the power increase is from them. Anybody knows?
My dealer gives me a really good deal on these mounted on the bike but I don't know...
SC-Project:
They seam to come from people that knows what they are doing (coming from the Ducati Pramac Team). The price is really good. They state a good power increase of 4-5 hp on the low part on their website but it seams no one is using the SCs for this bike. At least I haven't seen any opinions.
The sound (or should I say the tone) is important to me as is the power gain. Which one of these gives the best deep tone/power gain? Has anybody seen both of these in real life. I really can't make upp my mind just looking at youtube videos

I just got my 1100 Evo over the weekend. I had the dealer install a Remus hypercone (black) and tune with Power Commander V. The low, deep bass is amazing (no dB killer insert). I had Termi's on my old 2009 Monster 1100, but I left the dB killers in. Therefore I can't make an apples to apples comparison, but I am blown away by the sound right now. The Remus also shows off 90% of the wheel instead of blocking it.

Is there a reason you didn't install Termin on your new bike (price, looks, sound)? I thought the Power Commander did no good on the M1100 Evo since it has a closed loop system. Maybe I'm wrong?

Point of order: it's "Termi" as in Termignoni, if you want to add a letter you should be saying "Termig".
Having said that, it comes down to cost for me. I actually think that the Termis look pretty good and come with the ECU and airbox mods so it's all factory and your warranty stays intact (not to mention the extra 500 rpm). The SC looks pretty good but it kinda messes with the design of the bike IMO. It's pretty but I'd want a low mount myself, still waiting for Competition Werks so come out with their shorty, seems like it might be a good option.

Price and looks were the biggest. I don't like the double can blocking the wheel. The ECU is overpriced (and I had it in my last bike). Apparently the PC V has O2 optimizers or something along those lines that allow manipulation within the closed loop. That was something I asked specifically about, and I wish I could give you more info but it's not an area of expertise for me. I researched it and it seems like it's a pretty new thing that the PC V can work with the Siemens at least enough to get the job done. I can say that I rode the bike today for 75 miles and it's smoother at low revs than my 2009 M1100S with full Termi system and ECU. I also have 14t front sprocket on both bikes.

Actually Termins would refer to an english plural mod of a word in a foreign language. In addition, saying Termig in Italian would not make sense to anybody while with Termins I think people would actually understand what you are saying even in Italy. I know since I am Italian (but living in Sweden). But OK, lets stick with Termignoni for the sake of being correct. Pretty OT here now
I guess looks is really something subjective. The warranty will stay intact for me regardless of what exhaust I decide to put on. Do you know how much extra power the Termigoni actually gives? It seems no one knows that when I asked around.
And i must admit, the Competition Werks looks pretty good. Any Idea when they will release a system for the M1100 Evo?

Interesting, I didn't know that. Did you do a Dyno test with the PC V?

The dealer did do a dyno before and after the mods (including the PC V, Remus can etc.). I also had new lighter, higher compression pistons installed that Ferracci (the dealer) designed. The peak hp went from 87 to 96.

Thanks for explaining, I appreciate it, I wasn't really attempting to explain the language, just what people call Termignonis, thanks.
I hope they are up soon, I've seen their pipe on a Speed Triple & looks pretty nice, hoping we get something nice too.

Wow, thats a pretty good increase. This might be a stupid question but Ducati states 100 hp original. Why did you get less? Is it because Ducati measures on the engine and you on the wheel? Anyway, I'm going to talk to my dealer a see what he can do

Yes I saw that one and in deed it looked really nice. The only problem now is that I went from having two choices to having three. I was hoping for the other way around

The reason is because all the manufacturer's inflate their hp claims. I had seen someone else dyno a stock 1100 Evo with the hp being in the mid 80's and my experience confirms that.
