I'll be up there from wed thru sun during the race. making it my vacation for the year and going to see family while I'm in town. I will probably go to the race on Sat if i can get some tix off my buddy who works for the red bull distributor in the area. I grew up there so if you want advise on where to eat and hang I'm happy to help.

I think Ducati Island passes need to be picked up on Friday morning for the weekend but my memory could be wrong. So that's one bonus to taking a few days off.

I remember the one year I went I rode up there at the crack of dawn to get my pass and then rode back to SLO to and was 20 minutes late for work.  Tongue Then I rode out just for race day.
