I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

This was true before Euro 3 emissions standards on bikes, but only when discussing HC, CO and NOx.  Motorcycles still lag behind, but not by much.  The big one we are talking about now is CO2, which is mostly a product of engine size and fuel consumption.  Unless you are riding a Triumph Rocket III you have a big advantage there, at least for now.  Euro 4 standards go into effect next year and possibly Ero 5 in 2020.  Of course, this is for vehicles that have not been modified.

When considering actual pollution you also need to take into account how long the vehicle takes to complete it's journey.  A vehicle that gets where it's going with less time in traffic (lane splitting sharing) and parked produces less pollution than a vehicle that is stuck in traffic and then circles the block endlessly looking for a parking space.  With an increasing shift to two wheeled transportation for commuting traffic density will decline and parking will increase, helping to reduce pollution from cars.  This is why so many cities around the world now offer free or inexpensive or free safe parking for two wheeled vehicles.
