Can anyone comment on the quality of the DP CF rear short guard? If prices were the same, am I better off going DP over the MonsterParts replica? You'd think OEM means better quality but DP seems so hit or miss and the Monsterparts constantly gets good reviews. DP makes your life ever slightly easier by coming pre-drilled...

I have a MonsterParts tail - good build quality and perfect fit.
Heavy turn signals, like stock, will flap around a lot.
..... solution might be smaller aftermarket signals or an integrated tail light.

Stock signals have a washer plate under/behind the beer tray.
It's drilled for all three holes and can be used as a template when you drill holes in the new tail.

On a silver black phantom bike...

I have the DP CF unit and the quality is poor.  Actually, beyond poor.   The bolts are glued with a shapeless mass that looks more like bubblegum.  The bolts are not the same height because of the crappy mounting, and they are not parallel.  To top it off, it has a small crack and I have no idea how it happened.  I was rushing to get the bike ready for the the Challenge, or I'd have sent it back.

I'd get a replica.
