I've been really lagging getting a 357 barrel for my Glock 22. I've wanted to do it for a long time. Anyways, I thought it wasn't just a problem with Glocks, reusing brass in .40 S&W means its going to be slightly weakened, especially around the back end, where because of the size of the cartridge, is usually unsupported because the way the loading ramp has to be.
I've been reloading all my life. As long as you stay under SAAMI pressures you should be good to go. SAAMI specs for .40 is 35,000 PSI and 357 SIG is 40,000. The brass is designed to handle those pressures, even with some of it unsupported, and even with repeated reloads. I never reload to maximum pressure anyway because I only use it for target practice. For carry ammo I use the premium factory stuff.
Some people get 100 reloads out of brass, but I lose too much of it to get more than about ten, especially with an autoloader that throws the brass.
Some people neck down .40 brass and use it for 357 SIG, but I don't think it's a good idea. Because of higher pressures 357 SIG brass is designed to be a bit more robust. Forty brass is too weak for SIG pressures. Also, if you neck down .40 the case will be about 0.020" too short and head spacing will be off. SIG is head spaced on the neck, not the shoulder, however in some guns it will 'sort of' headspace on the shoulder, but that puts a lot of stress on the brass - brass that's not really up to the task of 40,000 PSI.

...and here is the proof that it happened:
the little holes were made by a .22 H&K revolver and the big ones by a Glock23 40S&W

That was fun, we should do it more often. Wind was a factor for the rifle today, but was still able to hit that gong at 220 yards.

Well seeing how this is the last week of school for me this year I'm definitely going shooting this coming monday night at Calibers. After 5pm it's only 10 dollars for the range fee, so pretty good deal. Hope some of yous can come along!

I'm taking my shorty AR to Phoenix this week. I'm gonna try to get it sighted in. It should be ready to shoot soon.
I am in the process of making my MK18 pistol into an SBR. Here it is in its current state.

You made all the difference! What a blast...I'll never be pissing Karl off
...he was less than 1ft off at 250yards with the ol 1974 Thompson Hawken Muzzle Loader
..Gun Powder is so much fun! We shot 50 cal balls and hell of a shot it is! Need some upgrades now...maybe optic, scope and perhaps bullets instead of balls... Here's two videos...wait for the shot & smoke!
