I read about the incident on your bog. Call me. If you don't still have my number send me an email or PM My regular lawyer is too expensive for a 2 pointer, particularly since there is no plea bargaining in NYC. Pakhan has someone who has saved his ass more than once.

the last time i got a ticket, i showed up early and saw all these lawyers waiting at the door of the court. some of the taxi drivers there just walked up to them and asked how much to hire them. after seeing that, i just went up to a random one and paid him $150 and he took care of the rest. i think he basically just kept on pushing back the court date till the officer didnt show up and the ticket was dropped. in the end, he pushed it back about a year.
i really cant say if he's any good or not, but he did get me out of the ticket. if you want his info, i'll send it to you in a pm.

I got a 2 pointer in june for 'unsafe' lane change exiting 495 (2 exits from the lincoln tunnel)
Bumper to bumper traffic (all cars stopped).. How the hell is it unsafe when nothing is moving besides me?
crossed a solid line no more than 5mph.. 1 of 4 bergen city cop pulled me over. Long story short.. to make the points go away (allow 2x in jersey) it would cost me $400! Lawyer advise me not to take this route as I should save it for a bad speeding ticket.
3rd postponement court date next week.

save what for a bad speeding ticket? money? arent points the same either way?
the chance of me gettign a insane speeding ticket is slim to none. i find it difficult to speed more than 30mph in NY state. That is unless EVERYONE is speeding 30mph over. thats 85mph already!

What state is your license? NYS does not apply point to NJ tickets. |

its still on your record, it just doenst get counted to your insurance premium. And if you dont pay it, every single time you get into jersey you risk getting your bike impounded.

So you're telling me, when I ride in NJ during the summer and get a ticket with points I can plead guilty and take the points/pay fine and my record will never show the points?? (live in PA) |

Call the PA DMV and ask them if they accept tickets and points from NJ. I had a license from another state at that time -- (neither NJ nor NY) and my state didn't even accept NJ's citations on my driving record. |

there are no federal speeding laws except in national parks or federal property. but you need to double check with the NY dmv. I would be surprised if the NY DMV doesnt' accept NJ tickets, but most states outside of that area do NOT |

because 30+ over in NYC = jail time.
I was told that NY does not accept NJ tickets. this was by my insurance agent. of course im pretty sure they are lying scum bags anyway.
