The sequel is never as good as the original. The charm was in the unkempt nature of the place. The new plase will surely have "improvements.

Sac

/the charm was also in the crispy cheese halo . . . mmmm, crispy cheese halo

They didn't want to move but from what I understand someone complained it wasn't handicap accessible.

...the latest - they're sprouting up everywhere.  In what used to be a quizno's on Harbor Blvd (W. Sac) and they have at least one more in Folsom/Roseville now...

Coming soon to a town near you.

I haven't partaken in the halo yet - but I'm sorry I didn't get to experience the real squeeze in.  I may get in there sometime soon, but I'm pretty sure I'll need the paddles nearby if I do.  CLEAR!

With a name like the Squeeze Inn, I'm totally intrigued...

it's a burger place.. it was named the squeeze inn because it was in this super tiny building & people literally had to squeeze in to get their food... there's a local guy in a wheelchair that literally makes his living suing businesses that aren't a.d.a compliant. so, this guy goes to the squeeze inn & threatens a lawsuit, the owners didnt have enough money to make the changes so they were just going to close the doors... then there was a huge community effort, which got media attention to keep the squeeze inn open. this ended up generating enough publicity that a local landlord offerred up cheap rent at a new location so the squeeze inn was able to stay open. the other side effect of the publicity is more people began eating there & since then theyve been able to expand to 2 additional locations, one in roseville & one in west sac. their claim to fame is the cheese on the burger. it melts over the sides & crisps up, it's supper yum.

Hmmm, this board has had more posts today than in the past year. I'm thinking maybe there needs to be a Squeeze Inn bike night. Does anybody know if one location would be more suitable than another?

West Sac looks like it has enough room for a group - no out-door seating, but we could get a decent group in there.  I still haven't eaten there.

The only drag - I rolled by there with my son just after 8pm - and no love.  Closes at 8pm.  We took our boys-night-out down to the Carl's Jr. but definitely disappointed we didn't get some of that melted/grilled cheese patty goodness.

Getting a ride in and then stopping there for a bite afterward might be another option.

West Sac seems ok for a bike night meet up but it looks like there are a couple of locations closer to the action for an after ride break. I'm up for the after ride grub first and then maybe a weeknight meet up at one of the other locations sometime after that.
