I ordered some maint. items for both of my ducs through CA cycle works earlier this week.  Just wanted to let anyone who has not used them yet how top notch their service was.  There was a delay in shipping one item due to the moto GP race, I was notified of the problem right away and given the option of splitting the order.  As soon as I made my choise on that the parts went out & made it across the country in 2 days.  Glad to have them as a board sponsor  waytogo

I've known Chris and Ca-Cycleworks for over ten years now.  He's been a stand up guy, answers emails and gives great advice each time I deal with them.  Glad to hear you also had good experience with him.  Candice is also a great counterpart at CCW.

They're one of my 'go-to' establishments any time I have a Duc related question or need parts.  I am just finishing installation of FCRs on the M900 after ordering from them.

I had a horrible experience.  Not going into details, but a few here know about it.

I've always had good service with them.  Also, the how-to videos are just another thing they do to go above and beyond expectations.

I order belts and stuff from them.  Good prices and fast shipping.  Haven't installed them yet so I guess I can't say for sure they fit, but they look right.

I have bought stuff from them that I could get cheaper somewhere else purely based on the great customer experience.

There are no stupid questions and they always make me feel like friend even though I have never met Chris in person.

since I'm in San Diego right now, I stopped by for oil and an filter.  The place was nothing fancy but the service was exactly what I was hoping for.  I definitely recommend them if you're looking for service parts.

I've ordered parts from CA Cycleworks and I have always had the best service and the fastest shipping. They will call me just to make sure that I have what I need before they ship. That is the epitome of customer service.  waytogo

I had a horrible experience.  Not going into details, but a few here know about it.

Was that the Mahle custom race pistons where Mahle made them with the wrong size wrist pin?

That problem is basically why we haven't had any more made from them. I'm sorry that you had a rough time with that and are still holding a grudge. I thought Mahle's handling of the bungle was better than expected. They next day air'ing replacements to you the moment they were manufactured (without demand of return of original parts). The engineer (a Ducati enthusiast) didn't double check the wrist pin size assuming they are the same as the 900 and he apologized to me and all of those affected by it.

Thanks for speaking up,
Chris

I was more upset of the communication and telephone conversations that we had- or lack of them.   I don't want to go into details, that isn't why I made my post, this thread isn't about me and my experience.  You have a lot of 'fans' here, which means that there are a lot of happy people that did business with you, but it's really hard to get 100% customer satisfaction, and to get it right every time.  I understand that.  I don't think I was unreasonable either, many long time posters here know me personally and have done business with me as well, and we haven't' had any problems.  I'm sure if you continue to do business they way you do, you will stay in business, you have so far.  But you can't get it right every time there is a problem, and I felt that is what happened to me.  And to be fair, the next day air shipment from Mahle was nice, but it didn't happen until I called them directly and coordinated with them personally, and it took more than 8 months after the initial delivery for the correct parts to get to me.

My ten perfect experiences, one exceptional experience (oh, no one makes a bigger Hyper tank? OK, I'll spend the 20K and develop one), and one funny experience (parts came in box marked "dog bedding" with a few dog hairs) nullify your experience.
