I got beat by my brother-in-law who rides an 07 hd night train.
It was roll on, from about 80 to 180km, I kept pace and started gaining at about 160 when I let up.

Yes, in the twisties I leave him way behind, that's where all the fun is anyhow.

I have both Ducati & HD.  Now I'm certain my Electra Glide wont do the same but it's still funny to hear this.  Surely this thread will get locked fast since there are so many haters.

Well, he does have some mods and I'm stock. He's a hd mechanic and has it tuned perfectly, race tuner, air and pipes.
I have a stock S2r 800 minus pipes, probably hurting it a little.

Roll ons test gearing more than anything else really.  Downshift next time

I did, was spinning about 5000 rpm. We cracked them open and he gained about 2 to 3 bike lengths on me before I started realing him in.
I wonder if I was geared down a tooth if it would make a difference.

if I still didn't win....

C'mon guys, a lot of us watch racing. Just remember some excuses, and modify them to fit your situation.
