Dogs are a leading source of acceleration issues - they are literally the only reason I am not an olympic sprinter.

One other explanation, you weren't on your way to a Starbucks.  Ducatis are programmed for optimal performance when pointed toward a coffee shop.

I think if he was stock I would have taken him. Those bikes have tons of low end torque.
