Some people have asked me why I have my old bike back and why I need to sell it so quick.

So here is the whole story:

Shortly after my accident in August of 2006, I began settling with the insurance company. Since the bike was
totaled, it was at a salvage yard. I was approached by then friend Larry about the bike. He wanted to know what
I was planning on doing with it. I had not intended to buy it back since I didn't want to fix it and was unable
at the time to part it out myself.
He didn't have the money to buy it from the salvage yard ($1900) but wanted to turn it into a chopper project
bike. Since I knew he was a painter and had painted houses in the past, I suggested a trade, the house painting
for the bike.

So, he took possession of the bike, along with the keys, key card and title that I had to get changed to a
salvage title before the insurance company would release my settlement. We decided that he would do the paint
at a later date.

Well, a few months ago, I told him that I was almost ready to have him paint the house since the house was going
to be re-roofed and either sold or rented pending my move.

The re-roofing was scheduled and I called Larry to schedule a time to start the painting. He was preparing to go
with the group of riders on the 666 run. He said he would come over and get the details so he could get the paint
when he got back.

The week after the 666 run I called Larry. He didn't answer so I left a message. This continued for over a week
before I finally heard from him. I say "heard" but it was really a text message. He said that he had just got his
phone turned on and got my messages. He also said that he would not be able to paint the house since he is going
out of town for three weeks and that he would bring the bike back soon.

WTF?Huh???

This was not our agreement. I am moving from a 4 bedroom 2200 squarefoot house to a 2 bedroom apartment in CT in 1
freaking month! I need the house painted since the roof is a drastically different color that the old one was and
does not match anymore. What am I going to do with a bike that I can't use and have no place for? Furthermore, what
am I going to do about the house that needs to be painted?

So I call him and explain the position he's put me in financially and he said, let me check my schedule and get
back to you. He doesn't call me back that day (this past Friday).

I call him on Saturday and get his voicemail. I leave him a message asking what the deal is. He calls me back a
couple hours later and tells me he still doesn't know, but that he would get back to me.

He text messages me the next day and says that he would be able to do it after work and then finish after he gets
back from his business trip. He also asked if I had bought the paint yet.

I text him back to tell him that it needs to be done ASAP or that he needs to pay me the $1900 it cost for the bike.
I also tell him that the paint was part of the deal.

He texts me back and tells me NO WAY that was not part of the deal, I am done with this bs. I am bringing the bike
back NO DEAL.

Are you kidding me?!?!

This goes back and forth for several hours and I finally have enough and say Fine, bring the bike back.

Well, I don't hear from him, text him When are you bringing the bike back? No response. Again When are you bringing
the bike bike? I need to sell it asap. Again no response. Three hours after I tell him to bring it back, he responds
I am at a game, I may have a buyer for the bike I'll let you know tomorrow.

Jeeze, the back and forth with this "friend of mine" is killing me.

Well, today he texts me and says what's your address? Obviously his "buyer" fell through. Why does he need my
address though, he's been to my house a dozen times. I text it anyway. I don't hear from him for a while and
finally text him, where is the bike.

He says the delivery guys said it would be about 40 mins.

So after all this, he can't even face me or talk to me on the phone, he's having someone "deliver" the bike.
They get here about an hour later and drop off the bike and the keys. They are about to leave and I ask about the
title, they said he didn't give them a title. WHAT THE make the beast with two backs?

So I text him, Larry, where's the title.

I can't find it, it's still in your name go get a duplicate from the DMV.

After all this, he's telling me I have to waste more of my time going to the DMV to request a title? And the title
isn't in my name, I signed it over to him when it got changed to a salvage title.

I tell him that and he finally tells me he never got it put in his name. He's had the bike since October of 2006
and he never got the bike put in his name? I tell him that I don't have time to wait at the DMV for a duplicate
title and that the title is part of the deal. He tells me he'll look for it when he gets home. Well of course I
don't hear from him at all. So I text him around 9pm. He says that he can't find it so I'll just have to go to the
dmv and get a duplicate.

I tell him that I don't have time to sit around the dmv for something you should have done.

These are his exact words:
"You never listen. I can't find it or don't have it. Your the only one that can get a new one. Plus I won't even be
here to do anything about it anyways."

I tell him that he needs to bring me the money to pay for a copy.

He then texts me the last thing:
"It's $5 I will send it to you since I will be at the airport at 5:30 am n won't be coming to your house. This is
my last text about this n I won't reply anymore."

Needless to say I am not happy about this whole situation and send him my reply. I know he'll read it.
"Have a great life screwing the people you know. I am letting everyone I know what you have done and to never trust
you or do business with you. You don't even have the guts to face me after all of this and it shows your lack of
character."

So, that's the story of how a "friend" screwed me out of almost $2000 and put me in a finacial hardship when I am
moving across the country and need to prepare this house for rent.

There are other people here that will tell you about their experiences with Larry. Thus far, he has screwed several
in the AZDRA alone.

It is my recommendation that you not do business of any kind with Larry. I will withold his last name here, but if
you do a little digging, it's not that hard to find.

Man, that really sucks Shocked... I've had a couple "deals with friends" that went sour too, so I know how that part of it feels bang head...

The leaving you hanging and not even dealing with you face to face and not giving you any time to make other arrangements is REALLY screwed up though!!!
