My Favorite Ducatisti Jillian Michaels:
OK, I give up...why is there no DMV tag/plate on the back, and why is she showing off the hole in her obviously-not-kevlar jeans

They would have to catch her first to give her a ticket

It's probably brand new or brand new-ish, waiting on the tag to come in the mail.
Either that or Beverly Hills Ducati let her take it on a demo ride.

It takes a few weeks for DMV in CA to send out plates after you purchase a new vehicle.

Isn't it the thing to do there also..leave the dealer tag on for as long as possible to let others know it's a new vehicle?

Don't they issue temp tags until the real tags come in?

here in MD, if we had that option, I'd leave the bike tagged like that as long as possible so I can blow through the speed camera's without thinking twice...

Nope. No temp tags here in SoCal.

They issue a registration tag which gets placed on the inside of the windshield.

As well as avoid paying registration, tolls, etc.

I never understand why people bag on California...they must have never spent any amount of time there. It's a great place in general, and pretty much motorcycle heaven. I prefer northern, but whatever. The time I spent in San Diego was pretty nice too.

Agreed. I grew up in upstate NY which is an absolute shithole for motorcyclists for at least half a year every year, as is most of the rest of the United States of America. Personally, I think Southern California is the motorcycling meca of the U.S. We have some of the best roads in the world for riding and that is year round.
I'm a San Diego transplant who has lived and ridden here for well over 10 years.

The level of how much I hate that state is epic.

How can you hate a state? That makes no sense to me.
I like California. ...and New Mexico and Utah and Montana and North Carolina and most of the rest of the states I've visited...can't say I liked all the people though.
I ride year-round too, its just that I have a little more gear to stay warm in the "winter." I ride everywhere and luckily I don't need to be Johnny Canyoncarver to have fun.
