I did a run up the mountain on Saturday to try out my new camera mount. FFW to about 2 mins as the first bit is a bit boring.

Geez, I hope you gave the guy in the ute an appreciative wave ... that sort of behaviour is unheard of down here.

Looks like you also had a nice lonely ride.

Looks good guys.

The Moggill ferry is just around the corner from my place and I haven't been down there since the floods.

I'm looking at going for a run out through the Warrago, Fernvale and over the mountain on Sunday 26th in the morning. Still not locked in yet but I'll keep you updated if anybody's interested.

Thinking about doing a run over the Mountain starting from Blacksoil BP at 7.30am on Sunday the 26th of Feb, if anyone is interested. Just straight over to the Gap.

Well went for that quick run out past Fernvale, Split yard and then on to Glorious & Nebo on Sunday.

Weather was testing. Lots of rain, fog and leaf litter. Old MX skills testing.

That's why I love the S4R. The 1098s would be an absolute b!tch in that weather.

Then I got to spent an hour cleaning and polishing the bike back to it's original glory.

I don't like the idea of riding in the rain, but once you're going it's fine. Everything looks better from inside a helmet.

The two mates I rode with on their CBR1000's were wishing they had a dry, sticky track, but I was loving it (had to keep waiting for them to catch up, that doesn't usually happen).

Went for a weekend run up the Sunny Coast. Route took me via Mt Nebo

then through Samford and Dayboro to Mt Mee

Met a few other riders on Mt Mee that were heading my way so I tagged along as we rode through Woodford to Maleny were we parted ways

Witta before heading down the Conondale range then on to Kenilworth for lunch.

And after lunch was some dessert - The Obi Obi to finish it all off.

Had a blast. Wore my front tyre out so I musta had fun. Recommend this ride to all. Here is the route if you would like to try it.

Has anyone done the full route since all the rain? Wondering how the road conditions are?

Cheers,

Yeh I did it on the weekend. Stop lights going down Mt Nebo to Samford. Maybe 2 if IRC. No biggie. There was one set going up Mt Mee. And one going along the Maleny Stanley River Road. Road conditions were quite reasonable I thought. Good enough to have a spirited ride.

thanks Twizted now to get a pass out from the boss and get up there!

I did a southern loop down through Rathdowney, Woodenbong, Legume, Queen Mary Falls, Boonah back to Brissy and the roads from Woodenbong down around to Boonah were interesting to say the least!

Cheers,

Those are my favourite roads in the car.  Would definitely like to visit them on the bike one day.  =D
