50 K that is   Evil   Had to pull over and take a picture.

Had her brand spanking new in 2004 (620 Monster Matt blk).  She was all I could afford at the time in 2004 when I bought her at mile 0 or so at the dealership.

Oh well, I am too attached to give her up.  I wish for another 50K   Grin

I have all the receipts of the maintenance cost.  I will try to add it up and then either cry or ......  (not sure)

WOW! is she your only transportation?

No.  Actually she has been in the shop for most of last season and there has been many times I had to wait for parts as well (usual story).   I take her out to twisty routes a lot.  Takes an hour to get there and then we do almost full day of riding and return at night (end up putting over 500 miles on that type of rides).  So she has served me well.  She is more than enough for the twisty roads.   I ride her to work as much as possible but that is about 5 miles.  Honestly, I ride the shit out of her and do not baby this bike at all (used to in the beginning but not after 20K).  I do maintain her at the shop though.  I may have put mechanic son to college in the process Embarrassed

I am considering tracking her once (it will be my first).  Not sure if she can make it.  But after next maintenance.

As of last year, I have been riding my other bike a lot and have logged almost 15K on it since last April '10 on that bike.

major "incidents" so far
-- chain popped off once while exiting highway (casing had to be weld)
-- got clipped by another rider beginning of season at low speed during a turn (frame slider saved her but turns out that frame adjust bolt was damaged per mechanic ( i thought i did that during a rear stand mishap), bent rear brake shifter
-- flat tire on the twisty and had to tow her
-- had spring break and had to tow her.  I could not get the clutch to engage.
-- still leaks oil ( but then if it does not, you are not riding her hard )  LOL
-- stand gave way once after  park ( had to jb weld her near the tank hinges)\
-- belt was so close to end of life and bearing was about to sieze ( was late getting her in to shop.  Never ever do that ppl )
-- hate it when my mechanic says - ".. take her out in the back, and shoot her".  I got hopes for her to go on.

I have 63k now, but that's km  Cheesy

So, by winter it's going to be 70 (~44k miles) after 4 seasons

It had 3,500 on it when I bought it in '08 as an '07 demo bike.

I think it's great that our bikes are doing what they were born to do Dolph

I'm not sure what is more impressive the mileage or that you have gone that far/owned it that long and your orginal gauges still work. My second set crapped out this year.  waytogo
