I have Jess Racing risers on my M1100.  I don't recall what amount they brought the bars up but I can say it made a difference for me.  I'd do it again.

The amount of benefit you will get depends on your situation.  I broke my right wrist many, many years ago and weight on my wrist eventually will make my hand completely numb but it hurts at the same time (that make sense?)

I use my core muscles to hold myself in the proper position but there is still some weight on the wrist.  The risers made enough of a difference to me to make them worth the price and labor to install.

How much rise are we talking? 7/8" is the size of the bar.

A big rise can make a good bit of difference.

My old 620 once tipped over so I replaced the bar with the SM. They were great at first but a little too aggressive for touring so I added bar risers and they made a huge difference in comfort.
