The bike looks great.  Mine was delivered to the dealer today.  If I can get out of a meeting a little early tomorrow I will be working on getting the EvoTech kit installed in less than 24 hours.  I can't wait to pick up my new bike.

Hey Steven,

You wouldn't happen to be the dude I met up at bear mountain a few weeks ago would you. I was riding the red EVO, we spoke about the eliminator for a while.

I finally got my bike on Tuesday and I installed the EvoTech fender elim kit on Wednesday (as well as a set of Rizoma Reverse Retro Bar End Mirrors).  I really like the way it cleaned up the bike.  In my opinion the removal of the stock fender is harder than the installation of the EvoTech kit.  I ended up cutting the wire on the lp light and using some connectors to hook up the light.  For the turn signal problem I pulled out the metal washer things that were installed in the rubber piece of the turn signal.  The metal washer thing lines up perfect on the back side of the turn signal and hold the bolt in no problem.  My last install was on my 696 and it didn't have the valve thing under the seat.  I was nervous to mess with it so I didn't.  After I removed all the bolts holding the fender on (from the bottom) I made a small cut in the plastic fender  and was able to remove it without unhooking anything on the valve.  It was really easy.  Obviously you can only do this if you plan on never putting the fender back on the bike.

PS  I know I have to remove the reflectors.  I will probably do it tonight.

Looks really nice. I was thinking about those mirrors too but not sure yet. They do look awesome though. The whole bike looks very clean. Your post reminds me that I need a reflectorectomy too... Wink

What kind of pipe(s) you going with?  Didn't really care for the EVO after seeing the bike at Duc S'Dale shop but it cleans up nicely with the eliminator.  Had I known about it's release, I probably wouldn't have bought my '10 1100 last year.  That bike gets HOT..especially riding in the desert.  I guess if I hadn't gone with it though..I would have continued on with a case of dry clutch envy since my 620 is a wet.  Anyway, congrats!

BTW.. I'd like to see one of those EVOs with a red or grey/titanium-colored spring.   waytogo

I haven't decided on pipes yet.  Right now my plan is to keep the stock pipes until some more options are available and decide from there.  So far I have seen the Termis, Arrow, and Leo Vince offerings.  I like the idea of the Termis because you also get the ECU (which helped the performance and power delivery on my 696) but I don't love the look and I read somewhere that the kit is $1700 which seems expensive for slip-ons although you do get the ECU.  The Arrows are my favorite of the 3 in the looks department but not exactly what I was looking for.  I am hoping for a low gp style or a 2 into 1 that goes a little higher to show off more of the sss.   I will probably ride out the year and decide in the spring.

I thinking about to order the Termis Carbon. At the moment it's the best solution for the Evo. After... where more Aftermarket Pipes are in the Market, perharps I change the pipes but the DP ECU and Airfilter will stay.

I've been really happy with the volume and quality of the stock exhaust so I don't think I'll be putting anything on. I'm planning on taking the stocker off and hitting it with the hi-temp flat black just to tone it down a little. The other thing I noticed is that the damn passenger pegs foul my heels when I'm trying to get position for a corner (I don't have big feet, just keep my toes really tight on the bike on the inside) so I'm thinking about that exhaust hanger - does anyone know if that hits your heel too?

The termi system from Ducati is ~$1800 US and comes with the pipes (slip ons but that's where the catalytic converter is so really the headers are just headers plus the stupid valve), the ECU (but you can get that flashed) and an open airbox. Personally I don't think it's worth it for 1800, that's a fair chunk of change, especially when I like the sound of the stock pipe. Has anyone got a link for the Arrows?

I was thinking about those mirrors too but not sure yet.

I really like the mirrors.  I always liked the look but they seemed really small.  My friend has a Triumph branded mirror that looks exactly like the Rizoma's on his Street Triple.  I took it out to see if I would like the mirrors before I made the investment.  I was surprised how much I liked them.  They are smaller than stock but my elbows blocked most of my view with the stock mirrors.  I don't have to move my elbows at all with the Rizomas.  The also do not vibrate and they look great to boot.  They are expensive at over $100 each and you need to get bar ends to install them which I think is another $45 I think.  I am really glad I got them, in my opinion they are both good looking and functional.

I had this problem too and with the exhaust hanger it's ok now... no hits waytogo

I want carbon pipes Grin
I still thinking that Termignoni are the best solution with double pipes waytogo
The Arrows are not bad, but it looking too much like a japanese bike Grin
