Not a bad guess. Either there was a failure in the connecting part of that rod (cracks, casting problem, etc) or something obviously caused the failure. Crank issue, lack of oil, bad rod bearing, etc. You did have oil in it... right? Wink Still, just such a sad sight to see. Like seeing your favorite dog hit by a car. Tongue

Thanks Dan!

I'm assuming it didn't throw me because my rpms were high. Didn't engage the clutch. To be honest, I don't even remember if I tried downshifting as I was pulling over.
